spring_flower_beeAm I the only one with Cabin Fever?  I am so ready to boot my little darlin’s outside, raise my windows and enjoy some green on the horizon!

Unfortunately, that isn’t going to happen for at least another month here in New England.  In the meantime, I have written a list of ten ideas to help me (and you!) combat Cabin Fever.

  • Buy a bouquet of fresh cut flowers.  Even just 2 or 3 blooms in a bud vase can provide a big pick-me-up.
  • red_shoeOrganize a Girls Night Out.  I have an infant so I can’t be gone for hours and hours but I can manage appetizers and dessert at a restaurant with a friend once the kids are in bed.
  • Try a new recipe. This one for Bow Tie Alfredo with Chicken sounds delicious!
  • Buy a pair of Rockport Ciliza Low Heel Dress Sandals – in Chili Red!!
  • Get your hair done.  Or better yet, spring for a massage!
  • Take pictures of YOU and your kids making silly faces.
  • Purchase new fingernail polish or lipstick.
  • Take a field trip to a museum, zoo or gallery.
  • Start planning this year’s staycation by requesting your state’s tourism brochures.
  • Take a bubble bath after the children are in bed for the night.

You might notice none of these ideas are directly related to blogging.  Taking a little time off-line to refocus will not only renew your creativity, it will also provide you with great material to blog about later.

So enjoy that Girls Night Out!  And remember, summer will be here before you know it.

Great Ideas! Just this week I bought a cheap bouquet of flowers and have put them in little vases around the house and it really has been great! $5 well spent for the whole family! Thanks for the recipe link, too. It looks easy and delicious!

GREAT ideas! I’ve got cabin fever so bad. Luckily we’ve had temps in the 60s and 70s this week so it was nice to wear flip flops and drive with the windows down.

And as much as I hate cleaning, I actually love spring cleaning. So I can’t wait to open the windows, wash all of the curtains, scrub out the fridge, wash the car, etc.

70s?! OH MY! I am also looking forward to spring cleaning (shh! don’t tell my husband though!).

  4. These are some great ideas even if you work outside of the home. I’m going to have to try these.
