Did you attend Blissdom or Mom 2.0 Summit? No? Me neither. I wanted to go but just couldn’t swing it. Instead, I discovered 3 ways to learn from a blog conference without leaving home.
Buy the Audio & Transcripts
You can secure copies of the session after the conference wraps up. You can purchase the entire Blissdom conference for $75 or buy individual sessions for $15. That’s much cheaper than plane tickets and hotel rooms!
Read the Recap Blog Posts
Catch up on the blog posts of those who were able to attend. This becomes even easier if you find the person hosting a Mr. Linky or compiling an index of all the recap posts. (You can read Blissdom recap posts at Musings of a Housewife and Mom 2.0 Summit recap posts at Arrow Tips.)
Follow the Conference on Twitter.
Go to http://search.twitter.com/, enter the hashtag (#mom2summit, #blissdom, or#blissdom09) and read what others are tweeting about before, during and after a conference. (Hat Tip to BlogCoach.)
Right now I have no plans to attend Blogher or She Speaks but I’ll be using these ideas to learn as much as I can from those who do attend!
