48 Days To A Better Blog: Blog Education
March 9, 2009 by Alaina Frederick
This past weekend were days four and five of my 48 day journey. How did I spend them? Not behind the computer screen that’s for sure! It was a beautiful weekend in Southwestern PA and I had 3 little boys that were in much need of fresh air and sunshine.
Those two days were by far not wasted ones on my journey! Thankfully I have an MP3 player and before we even left for our very long days of public park hopping I downloaded a number of podcasts. I grabbed the latest installments of Profitable Mommy Blogging, WAHM Talk Radio, Adsense System Podcast, and The WordPress Community. I figured, “Hey I need to be educated if I’m going to do this right!”
Of course, we all know and love Profitable Mommy Blogging and WAHM Talk Radio – these are vital resources for any mom that is in or thinking about joining the work at home community. I found Adsense System Podcast and The Wordpress Community by doing a search on iTunes for “wordpress“, “adsense on blogs“, “blogging for profit“. While they had some information that was useful, both podcasts were not what I was expecting or hoping for. I much prefer the down-to-earth and mom-focused style of Profitable Mommy Blogging and WAHM Talk Radio.
So what did I learn? I need fresh and frequent content, which I already knew of this simple but oh-so-important fact. Today my goal is to explore the information over at Blog Energizer. I’ve heard about this site a while back when it was first launching, but I never took the time to really dive in and see how I could energize and get that content flowing like I needed.
What are some tools you are using to educate yourself on blogging and the world that surrounds it? Are you keeping up with fresh and frequent content on your site- are there some tips or software you use to help yourself keep at it?
