I Drove Through The Mountains To Learn This…

Hey everyone! I’m writing this from the NAMS 3 workshop in Atlanta, Georgia right now. Let me just say that NAMS has far exceeded my expectations! I’m blown away by the speakers, the information and just all the networking going on here! It’s AMAZING. Seriously you need to consider attending the next workshop in August this summer! I WILL be coming back that’s for sure…but probably will fly and NOT drive through the mountains again (let’s just say I had a major meltdown because I was so scared while we were going through the mountains!). Bloggers Needed for Online Marketing Campaign

Do you love blogging?

Want to make a little extra cash doing it?

Below is an email that recently came through to us and we wanted to make sure to share it with you. If you’re interested please read the following email for instructions.

We are Work Interactive, a digital agency based in Edinburgh,
Scotland.

During the last few months we have been busy developing a tool called Vertical Blogger (http://www.verticalblogger.com) which acts as a meeting point between bloggers and advertisers so bloggers can make money from their blogs.

Advertisers will post suggestions for blogs that need to have a
maximum of 250/300 words and will pay around £25-£30 per blog. Each blog can post one article per campaign per month as long as it fits into the sector of the advertiser’s campaign.

If you are interested in using our platform you can register at
http://www.verticalblogger.com

The tool has been translated into Spanish and English but very soon we will launch it in French and other languages. However, bloggers from every nationality and language can register.

If you know anybody who may be interested please forward them this email.

If you have any questions please don’t hesitate to contact us.

Kind Regards

Spread Some Bloggy Love – A 14 Day Challenge

bloggy_love_button

bloggy_love_buttonI love reading blogs (I won’t mention that my Google Reader has 945 unread posts waiting for me at the moment! LOL). I think a lot of us do for a number of different reasons. Now it’s time to take action and give back to those bloggers we love so much.

Happy to be at Home is posing a challenge to the blogosphere. The two weeks leading up to Valentine’s Day let’s start showing some bloggy love! Happy to be at Home has provided a list of 14 things you can do, 1 for each day, to share the love.

  1. Comment, comment, comment! Stop by your favorite blogs and leave a comment on one or two posts.
  2. Subscribe. If you don’t already, subscribe via RSS, e-mail, or follow the blog on blogger.
  3. Social bookmarking. Choose a great post or two on your favorite blogs and bookmark them using StumbleUpon, Kirtsy, Digg, Del.icio.us, or any of the other social bookmarking sites out there.
  4. Tweet. If you have a Twitter account, send out a few tweets with links to your favorite bloggers.
  5. Click through an ad or visit a site sponsor.
  6. Send a thank you email. Let your favorite bloggers know just how much you appreciate the dedication and hard work they put into their blogs.
  7. Mark your favorite blogs as a favorite in Technorati.
  8. Read through the archives. Then comment on a post or two that’s new to you.
  9. Write a post on your blog and share links to some of your favorite bloggers.
  10. Visit some of the blogs in your favorite blogger’s blogroll and let them know how you found their link.
  11. Nominate your favorites for blog awards or a BlogHer of the Week post.
  12. Find some new favorites. Spend some time exploring new blogs found through memes or carnivals.
  13. Grab a button. If your favorite bloggers have a button for their site, grab it and put it in your sidebar.
  14. When or if your favorite blogger hosts a Mr. Linky, do your best to participate.

Please spread the word about this challenge. Happy to be at Home would like to reach as many people as possible with this challenge. You can read the write up on their site, grab the button and post to your own blog by visiting their site.

Meet a Mom Blogger – Amy Yowell

Amy Yowell started My Mommy Needs a Life (what a cute title!) in December of 2007. Her blog was started as a place to vent her frustrations. She shares her story about the struggles of raising not one but two disabled children on her own and dealing with an abusive ex husband that is very difficult to deal with.

She soon found that her blog wasn’t just a place to vent her frustrations but to build relationships with others that contact her to tell her they are facing similar situations and it’s nice knowing they aren’t alone. Just by sharing her story she’s touched the lives of those around her. [Read more...]

Using Your Blog to Promote Affiliate Products

Did you know using your blog to promote products as an affiliate is a great way to not only recommend useful products to your readers but also a way to earn some cash? You won’t make a million bucks overnight but the possibility of earning residual income is key here. Who doesn’t want to earn money that they don’t really have to do ‘anything’ to make?

Some affiliate programs such as the one offered through Mom’s Talk Network Affiliates offer freebie guides you can offer to your readers and you’ll earn a commission when someone downloads the free guide. While it’s a small commission the more important thing is that you are offering something free to your readers. And we all know how everyone loves a freebie.

It can get kind of annoying if all they (your readers) ever see is the ‘sales’ letter so to speak. That’s why freebie guides are a good item to promote as well. You’ll be offering them something of value but at no charge to them!

Over at Mom’s Talk Network Affiliates there are three different guides that you can promote for free but earn a commission if someone downloads the guide. There’s Hot Mama Makeover, Find The Time Mama and the newest one Be A Great Mama. There’s even the option to earn commission by promoting the Moms TalkNews newsletter.

And of course aside from the freebie guides there is a wide array of e-books available to promote ranging in price from $5.97 up to $16.97. There are Holiday e-books, business e-books and family ones. Head on over to Mom’s Talk Network Affiliates and sign up as an affiliate if you haven’t done so already. Then don’t forget to grab your codes to promote the freebies!
