I have seen/join some article directories that pay you via this way. I wrote a few articles for that directory but stopped when the articles that I wrote were not being viewed as highly as those that I wrote on Hubpages, Ezinearticles etc.. anyway I think the best way to earn is still through direct ad placement on your own domain.

Dominique Goh´s last blog post..Merry Xmas

Not quite the same, but I've done paid forum posting very cheaply before when I started out.

It can be useful (overlooking the $$$ element for a moment) to:
1) Get your feet wet, especially if it's among your first paid gigs.
2) You are also learning best practises from the blog network/content network.
3) You build up your personal rep/brand.

-
I've received payments that some of you would probably laugh at ($20 for a couple of hours work), but it's laid the groundwork for some of the biggest projects I'm working on now.

-
Depends on your focus. If you're slogging/grinding away, while getting a mass of intagible benefits that will build your biz, go right ahead.

But if your only payout is that $5, $20 or $35, I'd suggest staying far, far, far away!

I tend to agree. Although on ehow I have made 15.00 on a couple of articles and 10 on a couple. Those had about 1000-1500 page views over 3 months. Not medal winning. I am planning to implement some better methods of obtaining page views, but ours are based on not only ad clicks but value to community. Whatever that means. Most of my articles are 1.00 . I so far am making about 30 per month but it should double and triple or more over next few months.
Thanks for great blog. I like the topic.

I never have been able to understand these opportunities. I'm of the mind that it's ALWAYS going to be more profitable for a mom to start her OWN blog on her domain.

Thank you, Kelly. You've validated my suspicions. I once wrote for such revenue sharing but knew it would be in my better interest to focus my energies on my own pursuits. I agree completely with your sentiment about devoting your attention to building your own blogs.

Thank you for this explanation. I just didn't get it before. But now it makes sense.
Thanks!
