What Should I Blog About?

I’m willing to bet that every blogger has stared at a blank screen at one time or another. Sometimes we push through and put out a mediocre post. Other times we just walk away without posting. I’m not sure which is worse. If you’re looking at the new year and wondering what in the world you are going to blog about for 12 months – I’ve got some ideas for you.

Blog Energizer is one of the few mailing lists I love to be on – and I don’t even pay for the premium option! The free content is excellent. I’ve shared great freebies with my readers, connected with others to guest post – for my blog or theirs; and used some great coupons [even if I didn't share them].

One of the most awesome freebies ever is The Blog Energizer Calendar and Planner. It’s totally free – no jumping through hoops or getting a lot of icky emails. And it will get your blogging juices flowing – for sure! It tells you special days [like National Honesty Day], conference dates, and special titles for each month [like Cell Phone Courtesy Month]. You can just download it to your computer to browse for ideas or actually print it and scribble all over it.

Get a jump start on your content so you can put your blog on auto-pilot and quit stressing over a dead blog. Download it now and get planning!

If you prefer to do things as a group you could check out The Blog Dare by Bloggy Moms. She lists monthly guidelines and weekly guidelines but really emphasizes quality over quantity.

If you want to do more video blogging I’d love to give you my ebook “Vlogging Inspiration from A-Z” full of ideas that you can vlog about.

A great reason to plan ahead of time is so that you can have your affiliate programs set up and your links ready. Here’s a post from the archives on how to join an affiliate program.
