I recently recommended 3 ways you can learn from a blog conference without leaving home. Well, I’d like to add a fourth way to that list.
Interview people who attended the conference.
Misty Khan attended Friday’s sessions of Mom 2.0 Summit and has graciously agreed to be interviewed for Profitable Mommy Blogging.
Read the interview:
What tips do you have for first time blog conference attenders?
- Bring your computer – there will likely be wifi.
- Bring your camera for photo op moments with blogging rock stars.
- Try to get a feel for which of your favorite bloggers, Twitter peeps and Facebook buddies will be there in advance so that you can look for them and connect in person.
- The more people you mingle and connect with at the conference, the more connected you will feel with your online community post conference.
Did you have a sponsor for this conference? If so, how did you find the sponsor?
My sponsor was my company – I own my own company ;-P
Name one thing you learned about blogging, social media, or marketing that you plan to implement.
I’d like to implement a forum on my blog where my users can form more of a community and interact with each other as opposed to just me.
Was Mom 2.0 Summit (or any conference) worth your time and money? Do you recommend I go?
Absolutely and Absolutely!
How will Mom 2.0 Summit change your blogging and blog?
I’ll be working a little more seriously on the monetization aspect of my blog. I’ll also continue to inject personality into my blog, but at the same time encourage some regular participation among readers through a forum – hopefully their personalities will also shine through and help shape the blog as it evolves.
Thank you, Misty, for answering my questions and for hosting Mom 2.0 Summit blog links.
Please leave Misty a thank you comment as you follow the links and learn from other Summit attendees while in the comfort of your own home.

Stephanie, thanks for interviewing me – thoroughly enjoyed Mom2Summit and getting to interact with wonderful women like you!
