What kind of things would you suggest to moms who want to go from blogging for a hobby to bringing in an income from their blogs?

Steph, juggling is the perfect word for it! Lol. Seriously, I'm still searching for that ever elusive thing called “balance.”:~)
As far as taking a blog from hobby to earning an income, I'd say start by making sure you're posting quality content that is valuable to your readers. This is so important. It should be information they can REALLY use. Then I would focus on monetizing the site (which I plan to blog about very soon). You'll also want to find ways to increase traffic to your blog.
Fortunately these are things that can be done for free which is great if your primary aim is making money.
