There’s definitely a fine line between blog posts and articles, but there still are some differences. The differences are good and if you want to get in to article marketing you should be aware of them.
A blog post can be anything from just a picture to 1500 words explaining the author’s religious philosophies. The length and topic of blog posts varies according to what a particular blog’s following likes and responds well to. A blog is often a response to something else that is happening in the news. In fact, blog writers are often told to play off of trending topics to get higher in search results. We don’t want anyone copying our original content; we’d love them to link to it, but not copy it.
An article is at least 1500 words that are full of information. It’s weightier than a blog post. The author is often an expert, or at least a consultant, in that topic area. It needs to be well thought out, formatted, and grammatically correct because you want it to reflect well on you. Timeless topics are better. We want lots of people to copy it because we have included a pertinent link to our site or product.
