Mum or Mom…. it doesn’t matter where you come from, we all know blogging is taking over the world!

I’m a ‘mum’ blogger from down under and let me tell you that blogging couldn’t be any bigger down here in Australia. If it wasn’t for blogging I wouldn’t have found profitablemommyblogging
For years now I have run a successful home business with a website and an online store. My store groovygames was great, but I wanted to share more advice about parenting and how to boost kids confidence. I love writing and am constantly searching for ways to write about subjects that I am passionate about. So I turned to blogging.

Rather than adding so many different pages to one web site, I was able to create a blog where I can post relevant articles about things I believe strongly in. I did come across one problem….I was addicted!

As a mum being addicted to blogging has it’s draw backs – How many times have you thought this….”I’ll start dinner in a minute, just let me finish this post” or “mummy will be there in a second honey……” 10 minutes later…..!!!!

Until just recently I was managing (or trying to manage) 3 blogs plus my online store site. I felt like I was being pulled from pillar to post and there was just too much information overload. My mummy blogging had reached point where I had to take a step back and assess what I was doing and where I was trying to go with all this information.

So after reading lots of other blogs about WAHM’s and internet marketing I realized that these 3 blogs combined with my online store could actually make me more money than just one website and 3 information only based blogs. I then set about creating one super blog that combined all my previous sites I had been working on, with a fantastic shopping cart attached. So kidfocus was born!

Now I can focus all that random information into one place and redirect my readers to one place rather that 3 or 4. Not only can I now share lots of useful information, in a more condensed format, with my readers but I can also utilize many different avenues such as affiliate marketing to aid in the sales from my store.

Affiliate marketing is what helped me make the decision about running a blog. It’s great, especially for mummy bloggers, because you can add your affiliate links and graphics to relevant posts. I have seen some tragic attempts at putting affiliate programs on a website, even ones where the subject is not in the slightest bit relevant to the site. At least by adding affiliate links to your blog you can keep track of the relevance between the post and the affiliate product.

So….now blogging is my life – around being a mum in general, of course!
