What’s Your Price for a Post?

What’s your price to give another site a little exposure on your blog?

I’m not referring to ‘review posts’ where you take the time to personally try out a product, then write a complete review about it.  I’m talking about simply posting a short blurb (150 words or so) and linking to an event or resource in order to give it some buzz and links from a relevant site.

What do you or would you charge for this sort of post?

Would you be interested in being on a list to receive notices about blogging opportunities for moms with family or craft related blogs?

Leave a comment and share :)

Hey gals – I’m also asking what your price is :) Do tell!

  3. Baba says:

Depending on the length of the blog $5 – 10 dollars for a short 150 word post. Longer posts $20 – 40. These are reasonable posting charges for most articles.

  4. Angie says:

I would not personally charge anything IF I knew the person and was familiar with the blog. I would just like to help, you know pay it forward for all the help I have received over the years. Otherwise, depending on the promotion, I think $10 would be fair.

I think that depending on what’s expected, at least $10. I recently had a job writing a 300 word article for $20 and found that to be very reasonable.

  14. Kai says:

I charge anywhere between $5 and $20 based on the price of the item for sale. If it’s a high ticket item, I charge more, cause they make more. Alternatively, usually around 5%-10% of the price of the time in question.
I’m very careful though not to review anything that doesn’t fit with the ‘ethic’ or ‘niche’ of my blog – I don’t do ‘payperpost’ (the site) at all – just affiliate based reviews.

  15. I think for a quick blurb and a link I’d charge anywhere between $5 and $10. I’d love to be on the craft list!

  17. Barbara says:

I’d say $5-$10 is fair for a short buzz post. For friends or good causes I do them for free on my mommy blog. I’d love to get on a list.

  18. Christine says:

I would say the same – $5-$10 – Cut it in the middle – $7.50? I would be interested in paying some of these ladies to advertise my biz. as well, it would be awesome to have some kind of trade even?

  19. Mary Lutz says:

I’d like to be on the list-the mom’s with family list-and I’d say between $5 and $10 is reasonable!

  20. I would love to be on a list if you develop one. $10 per 150-200 words works for me. Something longer, or more of an advertorial with a link, would be $30-$40.

  21. This is a tough question. Right now I am interested in building my subscribers list up so that would be more important to me and may be more financially beneficial in the long run if you send regular info out to your lists. I would do post with a reciprocal for others that link up and share the posts with their lists. Just my two cents!

    Thanks!

I am searching for paid blogging jobs currently, $5-10 per post up to 200 is reasonable and increase to $15-20 for over 200-300.

  23. Sandy says:

I would go along with most others who have posted here, $5 – $10 for 150-200 words seems to be a reasonable posting amount.

  24. JSmith says:

I just want to mention that I was looking for a review of a product today and I’ll be darned if it didn’t come up, with almost the same wording on all kinds of “mommy” sites. They ALL look like paid, biased advertising. I wouldn’t visit these blogs again. Just my two cents.
